A couple of things to particularly point out from the schedule for those for whom this is their first Summer Party:
For the Pony Rides, shoes must be worn and it will only be for children over 3 years old. There will be a ticketing system again this year to avoid long queues. Each child must have a ticket to ride. Tickets will be free and will have a set time on them, and they will be distributed at 11am on the day in the playground. There will be a strict limit of one per child we’re afraid.
The forecast is for a scorching 32 degrees. As we used to say in my Australian childhood, slip on a shirt, slop on some sunscreen and slap on a hat. And bring plenty of fluids with you.
The Face Painters and Spray Tattoos are particularly popular and have long queues, as they are quite labour intensive. So we would recommend going early if you don’t want to spend a large portion of your day queuing with your child.
We also have a new food supplier this year, who will be selling Gyros. So if you don’t want to use the barbecues yourself, you can still feed your guests!
This year we are again having a live karaoke band, after the huge success of the last few years. They will start at 7pm and play a number of sets with breaks in between. You can put your name down on the list over the evening and then when they will call your name, it will be your chance to shine!
It's always a great day. Feel free to invite your friends.
